Our Beginning

Icing Smiles was founded in January 2010 as a non-profit organization in the United States whose mission is to provide personalized celebration cakes for families with children who suffer from life-threatening diseases.

After realizing a need for Icing Smiles in Canada, Debbie Kinross and Cindy Ashley began to develop a Canadian chapter in October 2012.  We applied for incorporation and charity status and started to get information out to the public.  In April, 2013 Icing Smiles delivered its first cake and began increasing awareness for the organization. 

With the foundation laid the charity has now been handed over to Chrissie Boon.  Chrissie took the lead at the end of June 2014 and has been carrying the torch ever since. Since 2014 Chrissie has expanded the Icing Smiles Canada Team with a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers.

Our Team

Icing Smiles is more than an organization.  We are parents. We are spouses and partners.  We are friends. We are VOLUNTEERS committed to service and Baking a Difference.
